I completed all the finished products just before the exhibition, and the setup time was very short. Thanks to the help of many classmates, I was able to complete the exhibition setup.
The exhibition went very smoothly, and I received a lot of excellent feedback.
"Cloud loop is amazing. I mean, there are lots of toolkits on the market. But they are general. This is specific. It allows me to help myself," someone commented.
Many people told me that if such a product were available, they would be willing to purchase it. Some mentioned that it seemed like a self-guided therapy session that individuals could complete on their own. Particularly, someone noted, "Not everyone has the courage or enough funds to undergo psychological counseling, but with this product, people can do it themselves."
There were also concerns raised about whether writing down negative events would reinforce memories of unpleasant things. I acknowledged that it might, but I believe that documenting them allows one to recognize the differences between current and future thoughts, which is an essential step toward developing greater self-awareness.
One person shared their experience with psychological counseling, leading to a lengthy conversation on the topic. She mentioned that her counselor used to help her by encouraging journaling.
Considering the final step, "design your own tool," someone suggested that I could provide blank cards, allowing users to write in a way that suits them better.
A student studying illustration approached me, mentioning that she had also worked on a project related to emotions. However, she felt that illustration was more about expression, while my project focused on using emotions to solve problems. My background in graphic design, where I often expressed my viewpoints through posters, but I wanted to do more than that which led me to explore more practical solutions during my continuous learning journey. While this whole year, some projects still express viewpoints and raise awareness, they have also broadened the boundaries of expression for me. As a fan of science fiction, I've always been interested in abstract concepts and sought to combine them with practicality. Thus, in this final project, starting with "understanding oneself through memory," I am delighted to have created an output that combines practicality with humanistic care. I hope to continue exploring this path in the future.
